Crystal is a senior associate with the firm and has dedicated her legal career to construction law. Using her lifelong experience in construction (her father was a homebuilder) and problem-solving skills, Crystal helps contractors and subcontractors identify and mitigate risks, find creative solutions to disputes, and serves as an advocate for her clients. Prior to joining Sanderford & Carroll, Crystal practiced construction law in Austin, representing clients across Texas, with a focus on construction defect, insurance defense, commercial construction law, and residential and commercial construction litigation. She has worked for national and regional general contractors in preconstruction, operations, and risk management.

Practice Emphasis

Crystal’s practice focuses on advising her clients at all stages of a construction project and, if necessary, through litigation. She assists her clients on risk allocation, project management and documentation, and contracts clauses. Crystal litigates and arbitrates disputes involving payment and performance disputes, construction defects, and termination issues. She also assists her clients in protecting their lien and bond claims. She prides herself in providing practical solutions to her clients while protecting their legal interests.
